Switzerland – Land of Waterfalls

waterfall.ch is an interactive website with the purpose to increase the knowledge and the awareness of the Swiss waterfalls.

Waterfalls belong to the most beautiful and spectacular monuments Switzerland can offer. It’s nearly impossible not to be fascinated by the falling, steaming, trembling or softly descending waters.

During the Golden Age of tourism (began during the late 19th century and lasted until World War I) the tourist potential of the waterfalls of Switzerland had been recognised and commercialized. Best examples are the Grandhotel Giessbach or the Rheinfall area. During the 20h century the waterfalls slowly lost their attraction. To change this development is the goal of our project.
